PLEASE GIVE ME ONE MORE DAY!

HELLO ALL! I've been in New York for the last 5 days with no way to get our current episode from the camera to the internet...without the help of my darling husband, that is, and he is not with me on this trip. Neither is the lovely Miss Sue, for that matter. I will get the video up and on tonight when I get home and it should be posted early tomorrow morning. Once again, thanks for your patience!

New York has been FAB! The gift show, what I bought for the shop, the restaurants, the museum, the handbags. Last night a CRAZY lighting storm came through and took out a bunch of old trees - YIKES!

Anyhoo......off I go. I'm having lunch at Bergdorf Goodman in the cafe that Kelly Wearstler designed...so watch for it in our next episode. See you soon!

OK......we are kind of losers this week......we did have some severe blogger technical errors, but then, when we actually did go to record this episode, our video batteries died within 4 minutes. LAME! But we were having cocktails at the time and there was nothing else to be done, and I was heading off to New York in two days and we had no other time to get together and we had no extra batteries, and, and, and.........sniffle. Doing this every week is harder than it looks.......So there you have it. lame, lame, lame. many apologies. But to make up for it, I am going to try to make a tape from the New York Gift Show (the lovely Miss Sue is unfortunately unable to attend), and try to email it to my darling husband, Frenchy, and see if he can get it posted for me. YIPPEE! New York! Shopping!

DRINK O' THE WEEK:
Black and Blue
2 parts Pearl Blackberry Vodka
2 parts Fresh blackberry puree
1 part Sweet & Sour mix
2 splashes of fresh lemon juice
1 part triple sec


Shaken, not stirred - over ice - frozen blackberry garnish



DESIGN TIP O' THE WEEK:
Don't forget to light your outdoor spaces - light walkways, up light trees, add dimension and drama to your yard/garden

DRINK O' THE WEEK:

Miami Vice

2 parts Absolut Mango

1 part peach Schnapps

1 part cranberry juice

2 parts pineapple juice

Shaken, not stirred - over ice. Melon garnish

Use television and movies as design inspiration. Pay attention to the stage sets of your favorite shows and see what design ideas you can glean. Mad Men, Down with Love, Shakespeare in Love.......endless inspiration!

DRINK OF THE WEEK:

Lynchburg Lemonade

1 part Jack Daniels

2 part fresh squeezed lemonade

1 part triple sec

2 parts simple syrup

Stir like mad with a bunch of ice - garnish with a lemon slice

DESIGN TIP OF THE WEEK:

Don't hang your art to high - SO IMPORTANT!!!!!

EPSIODE 10 - Tips 'o the week

I AM SUCH A SLACKER! Sorry! Much delayed but here are the Tips 'o the week:

DRINK OF THE WEEK:
Mango Margarita
1 1/2 oz. gold tequila
1 1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz. Sweet & Sour mix
1 oz. fresh lime juice
couple splashes of simple syrup

Shaken, not stirred. Do not salt the rim on this one. Add a slice of lime to garnish.

DESIGN TIP OF THE WEEK:
